I've found the same except that I use Millers EcoMax Diesel Additive. I use the standard branded fuel (rather than premium V Power, Ultimate etc) with the additive which according to the packaging gives more benefits than the premium fuels .

I just use an ordinary diesel fuel for our cars. Recently I was told that Shell Power V diesel is better for the engine. As to how it helps I'm not sure. One thing I noticed is that it costs much higher than the ordinary diesel. Is this cost worth it for the benefit (not so sure what) that it is suppose to give the car? Thanks in advance for
It is worth mentioning that both Shell V Power Diesel and Petrol have detergents included in their additive packs, so if using premium fuels regularly, there should be no need to use any other additives (e.g. Redex/Forte/Millers), and no need for on-off cleaning (e.g. TeraClean).

After looking into this a bit, I believe one can achive almost similar effect using ECOMAX with ordinary diesel, as using V-Power diesel. The cost of using ECOMAX (500 ml for 500 l) is about 2 pence/liter. If the price differens between ordinary diesel and V-Power diesel is more then 2 pence/liter, then it seams to be more economical using 1LDpqNI.
